Auriculotherapy, or ear acupressure, is a treatment based on Chinese acupuncture therapy.  Instead of using needles, the therapist uses a massage ‘stick’ to activate the points on the ear.

The treatment is administered whilst the patient is fully clothed, in either a seated or lying position.

As with foot reflexology, the different points correspond to different parts of the body.  Through stimulation of the acupressure points, the body is encouraged to heal itself.

The benefits of this method are similar to those of foot reflexology, with the added benefit of accessing the emotional and mental state of the patient.
